Job summary
Placements24 seeks an Instrumentation Engineer to support plant operations in Randburg. This hands-on role focuses on calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrading of instruments and control loops to improve reliability and safety in an energy facility.
You will work with PLC/DCS systems, develop preventive maintenance, assist with design improvements, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering is required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Proficiency with process instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level).
- Experience with PLC/DCS systems and calibration equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, calibrate, and repair process instruments, transmitters, and control valves.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues to minimize downtime.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance for instrumentation assets.
- Participate in design and implementation of new instrumentation and control systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Provide technical support and training to plant operators and maintenance staff.
