Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician for a Randburg facility responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, read schematics, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

The role calls for proven industry experience, a valid electrician’s license, and strong knowledge of PLCs and VFDs. You will work with minimal supervision and support ongoing safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician in a manufacturing or heavy industry setting.
• Valid electrician's license and relevant trade qualifications.
• Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions in machinery and control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety regulations and codes.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
