Job summary

Client in Randburg, Gauteng seeks an experienced Instrumentation and Control Technician to install, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot a range of process instruments and automation systems.

The role requires 6+ years in process industries, with strong knowledge of PLCs, DCS, and process control principles. You will read P&IDs and diagrams, support commissioning, and ensure safety and reliability in operations.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 6 years of experience as an Instrumentation and Control Technician in a process industry.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and instrumentation documentation; strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair process instruments and transmitters.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs and DCS.
• Read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and loop diagrams.
• Assist commissioning of new instruments and control systems.
• Document calibrations and maintenance activities; support upgrades.
