Job summary

Stephenson Academy in Milton Keynes is seeking an Instructor of Motor Vehicles to lead delivery of motor vehicle studies, including safety, engine work, and general maintenance. The role includes preparing students for SEG and managing the workshop and materials.

The successful candidate will develop schemes of work, plan lessons, assess and record progress, and drive attendance to maximise course completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead on the delivery of basic motor vehicle studies including health and safety in the work environment, engine building and general maintenance.
• Prepare students for an accredited awarding body SEG in Motor Vehicles.
• Be responsible for the motor vehicle workshop, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that there are sufficient materials and tools available.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson planning, assessment, recording and reporting; secure good attendance and maximise course completion.

We are seeking:

An individual to:

Lead on the delivery of basic motor vehicle studies which can include health and safety in the work environment, engine building and general maintenance.

Prepare students for an accredited awarding body SEG in Motor Vehicles.

Be responsible for the motor vehicle workshop, maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that there are sufficient materials and tools available.

Be responsible for the development of schemes of work, lesson planning, the assessment of work and all recording and reporting as well as securing good attendance and maximising course completion.
