Job summary

St Joseph's Specialist Trust is seeking a reliable Cleaner to maintain a safe, clean, welcoming environment across our 23-acre site near Cranleigh. Shift hours are 10:00–18:30, Monday to Friday, with duties covering offices, classrooms, washrooms and residential areas.

The role requires physical, mental and emotional resilience; own transport is preferred due to the semi-rural location. The Trust offers a retention bonus, life insurance, a Medical Cashplan, and CPD opportunities.

About the role

As a General Assistant (Cleaning), you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment across our site.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out a variety of practical cleaning tasks across offices, classrooms, washrooms and residential areas.
• Managing stock of cleaning supplies and handling chemical safely.
• Responding promptly to spills and incidents
• Completing deep cleaning in line with schedules and specifications
• Supporting laundry, waste and recycling tasks
• Assisting with general estates and facilities duties as part of the wider team.

What we're looking for

You will be physically, mentally and emotionally resilient, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment. Due to our semi-rural location, own transport is preferred.
