Reporting Line Manager: Office Manager

The Role

We are looking for a Project Manager with a strong installation background who can also support live events when required.

This role is primarily focused on installs, managing projects from initial handover through to completion, but will also involve supporting production work during busy periods.

You’ll need to be comfortable both behind a desk managing budgets, timelines and clients, and on-site overseeing installs, solving problems and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage AV, lighting and technical installation projects from start to finish
• Oversee project timelines, budgets and resource planning
• Coordinate internal teams, freelancers and subcontractors
• Liaise with clients and act as the main point of contact throughout projects
• Interpret drawings, schematics and technical specifications
• Attend site visits, oversee installations and ensure quality standards are met
• Support commissioning, testing and handover of systems
• Assist with live event delivery when required
• Work closely with Hire, Production, Install and Service departments
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to STLS standards

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in AV / lighting / technical installations
• Previous experience in a Project Manager or senior engineer role
• Solid technical understanding from a hands‑on background (this is key)
• Confident managing multiple projects at once
• Good communication skills with both clients and internal teams
• Organised, proactive and solution‑focused
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, sometimes last‑minute environment
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience with live events / production environments
• CAD experience (AutoCAD or similar)
• Knowledge of control systems (Q‑SYS, Pharos, DSPs etc.)
• Project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet or similar)
• CTS, SSSTS, PASMA, IPAF or similar qualifications
