Job summary

Kudos AV Ltd. is seeking an ambitious events professional to learn from our senior Project Managers and progressively manage smaller events from brief to wrap.

You will see the full arc of an event, from brief through site visits, kit lists, quotes, crew, load in, show, and de-rig, gaining experience across every part of the process. You will support live events and on-site delivery, with flexible hours including early starts and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in event production, AV, or a related technical environment.
• Ability to discuss sound, lighting, video, and staging at a practical level.
• Organised under pressure and comfortable giving clients clear answers.

Responsibilities

• Support senior Project Managers across conferences, awards ceremonies, brand activations and private events.
• Own smaller events from brief through post-event wrap.
• Build kit lists and schedules with department heads and keep paperwork organised.
• Attend site visits and venue meetings; be on site for load in and show days.
• Keep clients updated and inform the internal team of upcoming activities.

Job description

Learn to run events end to end, starting alongside our senior Project Managers and building towards your own portfolio.

This is the role for someone who has done a couple of years on the technical or coordination side and wants to move into managing events properly. You will start supporting our senior Project Managers on live jobs and take on your own smaller events as quickly as you are ready to.

You will see the whole arc of an event: the brief coming in, the site visit, the kit list, the quote, the crew, the load in, the show itself and the de rig. Nothing here is siloed, so you learn the parts of the job most people pick up over a decade.

What you will do

• Support senior Project Managers across conferences, awards ceremonies, brand activations and private events.
• Own smaller events yourself, from brief through to post event wrap.
• Build kit lists and schedules with the department heads, and keep the paperwork straight.
• Attend site visits and venue meetings, and be on site for load in and show days.
• Keep clients updated and keep the internal team ahead of what is coming.

What we are looking for

• Around one to three years in event production, AV or a related technical environment, whether that is on the tools, in coordination or in a venue.
• Enough technical grounding to talk sensibly about sound, lighting, video and staging, and the appetite to learn the rest fast.
• Organised under pressure, and comfortable being the person a client asks for an answer.
• Willing to work the hours live events actually need, including early starts, late finishes and some weekends.
• Full UK driving licence.

Useful but not essential

• Experience with a rental management system such as HireHop, Rentman or Current RMS.
• A working knowledge of Vectorworks or similar, enough to read a drawing.
• First aid, IPAF or PASMA certification, or the appetite to get them.
