Live Recruitment in Bedford, UK is seeking an experienced Event Technical Project Manager. The role is office-based, with full ownership from brief to load-out, designing technical solutions across AV, lighting, staging and rigging and leading onsite installations.
You will produce CAD plans, schematics and full documentation, build kit lists and coordinate the technical team across diverse exhibitions and conferences.
Office based: 5 days per week
Car launches, gala dinners, pharma conferences and large-scale exhibitions across the UK and Europe, budgets stretching deep into six figures, and full technical ownership from design brief to final load-out. The Event Technical Project Manager role here, in a tight-knit and expanding agency where managing your own team is the next step, not a distant ambition.
This is a growing technical production agency supplying kit and services across the UK and into Europe, with a client base spanning corporate, pharma, financial and automotive sectors. Projects run from lean, fast-turnaround conferences to productions in the £250k-£500k range. Strong client relationships and consistent delivery standards are what an Event Technical Project Manager joins here to build on.
The Event Technical Project Manager takes full ownership of each project from brief to completion, designing technical solutions across audio, video, lighting, staging and rigging, producing CAD documentation, leading onsite installations and coordinating the wider technical team.
The right Event Technical Project Manager will already have hands-on experience designing technical solutions across audio, video, lighting, staging and rigging, and will have led technical teams on live events. Producing CAD drawings and technical documentation is part of how you already work.
A background in AV engineering, event technical operations or production is the natural fit for an Event Technical Project Manager here, though candidates from adjacent technical disciplines who can demonstrate the same depth of hands-on design and onsite leadership are equally welcome.
Full project ownership, structured development support and your own technical team to lead: this role delivers on all three fronts.
We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds, embracing diversity across all intersecting dimensions, including ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, well-being, abilities, and neurodiversity. We are dedicated to ensuring a supportive and accessible recruitment process. If you require any adjustments or accommodations for any reason, please do not hesitate to let us know.
