Job summary

TechPro Events Limited is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead AV projects for conferences, exhibitions, and live events across the UK and Europe. You will liaise with clients, suppliers and internal teams to deliver on time, on budget and to specification.

The role combines strategic planning with hands-on site delivery, budgeting, risk management and ensuring health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AV project management within live events, conferences and exhibitions.
• Strong technical knowledge across audio, video, lighting and set & staging.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Experience managing budgets and project schedules.
• Ability to remain calm and solutions-focused under pressure.
• Strong understanding of health & safety in live event environments.
• Experience working with large-scale corporate events.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD LT or similar event design software.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end projects, from initial brief and site survey through to delivery and post-event debrief
• Liaise with clients to understand technical requirements and provide clear, confident guidance
• Produce and manage project documentation, including technical specifications, schedules, and budgets
• Coordinate AV crews, freelancers, and suppliers
• Oversee equipment preparation, logistics, and on-site installation and derig
• Manage budgets, cost control, and invoicing support
• Meet financial targets and ensure projects are delivered profitably
• Work closely with the sales team to support further growth, including identifying upsell and repeat business opportunities
• Identify and mitigate project risks
• Ensure all work is delivered in line with health & safety and industry best practice
• Represent TechPro Events Limited professionally on-site and with clients

As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our leadership and delivery teams to support this expansion. We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager to play a key role in delivering excellent, commercially sound projects and supporting long-term client relationships.

Role Overview

Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: UK / Europe (flexible, event-based travel)
Contract: Full-time
