Clownfish Events is seeking a Technical Production Manager to lead the AV team and deliver exceptional events across Greater London and beyond. This hands-on role involves managing projects from contract to execution, ensuring the highest quality in every detail.
Candidates should have solid experience with professional AV equipment, a knack for client management, and a passion for leading a team. You'll be part of an award-winning company during a thrilling growth phase.
Flexibility on event days is essential, with opportunities for professional development.
We’re proud to be one of the most in‑demand and highest‑rated events companies in the country… and we plan to keep it that way. Our AV department is at an exciting inflection point. We’re taking on bigger, more ambitious productions than ever before, in some of the most spectacular venues across the UK. And we need an experienced Technical Production Manager to help lead that charge.
This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role for someone who thrives on the blend of technical excellence, client relationships, and team leadership. You can read more about how we do things here, but if you’re someone who brings the fun, owns your bit and plays for the team, you’ll likely love it here.
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to stay in their lane. We’re looking for a confident Technical Production Manager to help expand our AV offering and deliver exceptional, end‑to‑end events – from the moment a contract is signed to the moment the last cable is packed away. Think London and beyond, with some genuinely exciting, high‑profile events.
You’ll work closely with our Technical Account Managers and AV technicians to deliver seamless productions and manage sub‑hires. We’ve been doing this for 17 years – so you’d be joining a business that knows what it’s doing. But right now is a genuinely exciting time to come on board. We’re winning some enormous contracts, we’ve just been awarded Technical Production Team of the Year at the CN Agency Awards, and we’re still small enough that you wouldn’t be a small cog in a giant wheel. You’d be a big one. This is a real opportunity to be part of building something – not just running it. You’ll be right at the centre of shaping what our AV department becomes.
If you’re someone who turns up prepared, stays calm under pressure, and genuinely cares about the quality of what goes out the door, you’ll fit right in.
This role is approximately 60% on‑site delivery and 40% office/warehouse/planning.
You’ll be comfortable across all three AV disciplines and have hands‑on experience with professional‑grade equipment. At minimum, we’d expect familiarity with:
Beyond the equipment, we’re looking for someone who communicates brilliantly, keeps their cool when things don’t go to plan, and genuinely enjoys working as part of a team that cares.
Reports to: Operations Director.
Schedule: Mon‑Fri, standard business hours – flexibility required on event days.
Location: Office‑based, with Fridays WFH after onboarding. On‑site at events across Greater London and beyond.
Bonus: Annual profit share if company targets are hit.
