Job summary

Quickline Communications is seeking an Installation Engineer to join our field team and connect rural communities to our broadband network. You will travel to customer sites, install and configure equipment, and ensure the finished installation meets our quality standards.

You should have a customer-service mindset, enjoy working outdoors, and be comfortable with heights and driving. This role offers a competitive package and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience installing or maintaining broadband/telecoms networks preferred.
• Comfort working at heights and outdoors in varying weather.
• Customer-focused approach with clear communication during installs.

Responsibilities

• Install and service customer premises with careful route planning.
• Liaise with customers on installation details and final appearance.
• Maintain high safety standards on customer sites and in transit.
• Document installation details and capture photos for records.
• Provide excellent updates and follow-ups to customers and support teams.

• Maintain a high quality standard of installation both internally and externally at our customers premises.
• Liaise with customers regarding the intended installation route and how the finished installation will look.
• Manage a safe working environment considering Health & Safety at all times.
• Carry out installation surveys competently and consider all options to deliver service.
• Document all installed equipment information and capture images of the installation for infrastructure records, support team use and our quality process.
• Provide excellent levels of customer communications and strive to exceed expectations.

Here’s why you’ll be great in this role…

• You have experience in a similar role - Ideally with an understanding of FTTP and FWA connections.
• You are comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders is no problem for you.
• Customer care comes second nature to you.
• You have a full clean driving licence and can successfully pass a DBS check.
