Job summary

Shillito Group is seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to service and maintain high-end machine tool equipment across aerospace, automotive, defence and manufacturing sectors. The role involves regular international and European travel and offers a salary up to £70,000 with excellent benefits.

You'll diagnose electrical and mechanical faults on breakdowns, service and maintain equipment, and support installation and commissioning of CNC and automated machinery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Field Engineer.
• Strong fault finding experience across Electrical and Mechanical systems.
• Confident working on breakdowns and solving problems independently.
• Some exposure to PLC fault finding is highly desirable.
• Experience with automated machinery, CNC, robotics or similar equipment.
• Comfortable reading technical drawings and working methodically.

Responsibilities

• Attending breakdowns and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carrying out servicing, repairs and planned maintenance.
• Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Working on automated machinery including electrical controls, hydraulics and pneumatics.

An excellent opportunity for a motivated Field Service Engineer. This is an opportunity to join a highly established machine tool specialist supporting blue-chip customers across aerospace, automotive, defence, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

This role requires regular International and European travel.
