Job summary

Shillito Group is seeking a motivated Field Service Engineer to support blue-chip customers across aerospace, automotive, defence, and advanced manufacturing sectors. This role involves regular international and European travel and hands-on work with CNC, robotics, and automated machinery.

You will diagnose faults, service and maintain equipment, and support installation and commissioning. The position offers extensive training, competitive benefits, and a strong track record of career

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Field Engineer.
• Strong fault finding experience across Electrical and Mechanical systems.
• Confident working on breakdowns and solving problems independently.
• Some exposure to PLC fault finding is highly desirable.
• Experience with automated machinery, CNC, robotics or similar equipment.
• Comfortable reading technical drawings and working methodically.

Responsibilities

• Attending breakdowns and diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Carrying out servicing, repairs and planned maintenance.
• Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Working on automated machinery including electrical controls, hydraulics and pneumatics.
