Job summary

WHSmith is seeking a Team Leader to guide a store team and deliver exceptional customer service while meeting business objectives. You will cultivate a working environment that supports colleagues to grow and achieve their best.

The role requires proactive leadership on the shop floor, strong communication, and the ability to develop skills across the team. You may also be called to support other stores in the area as needed.

Qualifications

• Current/recent retail leadership experience (preferably in a fast-paced environment) with working knowledge of KPI’s such as ATV.

Responsibilities

• Guide and engage the team to deliver excellent standards and results in line with the Trading plan.
• Create a culture of learning, support and recognition - spotting opportunities for development of personal skills, product knowledge and self-awareness.
• Support colleagues in an environment where everyone feels valued and welcome.
• Create a sense of pride within the store to ensure we are operating safely and legally.
