Job summary

Ancaster Church of England Primary School is seeking an inspirational SENDCo to lead SEN policy development and oversee its day-to-day operation, ensuring high-quality support for every pupil with SEND. The role requires collaboration with staff, families, and external agencies to secure excellent outcomes.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS, a relevant degree, and SEND qualifications or be working towards them, with a track record of improving SEND outcomes and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• QT S and degree are essential.
• SEND qualification or working towards is desirable.
• Experience analyzing national/local/school data to inform strategy.
• Experience supporting, challenging and developing teachers and staff.
• Knowledge of effective behaviour management and SEMH support.

Responsibilities

• Determine the strategic development of SEN policy and provision.
• Oversee day-to-day operation of the SEN policy and coordination of provision for pupils with SEND.
• Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working with staff, families and agencies.
