Job summary

Roundswell Community Primary Academy, part of The Harbour Schools Partnership, seeks an inspirational SEND Teacher to join from January 2027. Qualifications

• Qualified teaching status or ECT progression requirements.
• Strong classroom management and high expectations of pupil progress.
• Ability to teach pupils of all abilities with ICT supported lessons.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and teach engaging lessons tailored to pupils' individual needs.
• Lead by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement.
• Monitor and assess pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target-setting.
• Report to parents and contribute to school improvement processes.
• Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school.
• Contribute to performance management, training and whole-school initiatives.
• Uphold school values, behaviour expectations and community ethos.
