Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching pupils with PMLD, SLD or complex SEND.
• Knowledge of sensory curriculum approaches and personalised learning.
• Experience working in a specialist SEND setting.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour support and complex medical needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging, personalised lessons for pupils with PMLD.
• Creating an inclusive, stimulating learning environment.
• Collaborating with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families, and external professionals.
• Leading a multidisciplinary approach to meeting diverse pupil needs.
• Monitoring progress against EHCP outcomes and targets.
• Using AAC and sensory strategies to support communication and learning.
• Contributing to annual reviews and professional meetings.
