Job summary

Exeter House School, part of Brunel Academies Trust, is seeking an capable Teacher to plan, deliver and review learning for pupils aged 4-19 with SEND. You will lead classroom assistants, collaborate with families and professionals, and contribute to the wider development of the school.

The role requires Qualified Teacher Status and experience teaching pupils with SEND. Training and safeguarding are emphasised in this supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status required and experience teaching pupils with SEND.
• Knowledge of autism and communication approaches such as Makaton or Intensive Interaction is advantageous.
• Full training and induction will be provided to support the role.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and review learning reflecting pupils' individual needs to develop communication, confidence and independence.
• Lead and deploy classroom assistants and work with families and professionals.
• Assess progress, maintain records and contribute to EHCP reviews.
• Contribute to staff training, pastoral work and school development.
• Promote the school's vision, values, safeguarding and British values.
