Exeter House School, part of Brunel Academies Trust, seeks a Senior Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND and help them make progress and build skills for life. Exeter House School is seeking a Senior Teaching Assistant to support pupils' learning, development and well-being. Working under the direction of a qualified teacher or lead professional, you'll deliver and adapt learning activities for individuals, small groups and whole classes. You'll help pupils access the curriculum, develop their independence and prepare for their next steps in education or employment.
You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists and other professionals to provide tailored support that reflects each pupil's needs. You’ll help plan and deliver learning activities, monitor progress and contribute to pupils' individual development plans and reviews.
Your responsibilities will include:
You’ll have experience working with pupils in an education or care setting, including experience supporting pupils with SEND. You’ll communicate well, work positively with colleagues and pupils, and be ready to take initiative while following the professional direction of the teacher or lead professional.
You’ll also bring:
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, HLTA status, relevant SEND training or strong subject knowledge would be an advantage.
