Job summary

Weydon School is seeking a dedicated Progress Coach to support students with special education needs. This part-time, permanent role starts September 2026, delivering 27.5 hours per week during term time (39 weeks per year) with a salary between £24,420 and £26,167 FTE.

You will work closely with teachers and staff to provide in‑lesson support, targeted interventions in numeracy, literacy, SALT, and emotional literacy, and help students reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Appoint an enthusiastic and inspirational Progress Coach to help students with a range of special education needs to reach their full potential.
• Inspire and motivate young people who find education more challenging, working closely alongside teachers and other staff.
• Provide training and support to ensure students can access the curriculum and make excellent progress.
• Support students with SEND by providing flexible in‑lesson support, personalised interventions in numeracy, literacy, SALT, ELSA, and emotional literacy on a one‑to‑one or small group basis.
