Job summary

Humberston Academy is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teachers, work with the Quality of Education Team, and assist with SEN provision and PHSE activities. The role involves personal, social, and educational development, with emphasis on safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Permanent contract for 32.5 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with a strong focus on student welfare and collaborative teamwork within The David Ross Education Trust.

Qualifications

• Develop an in depth understanding of the specific needs of individual and groups of student(s).
• Guide, support and empower students to develop personal development objectives.
• Assess, plan, organise and provide practical assistance relating to identified needs.
• Observe individuals and groups of students’ progress and provide reports to inform assessment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and undertake routine learning activities with individuals or groups.
• Monitor student conduct and intervene to maintain safe learning environment.
• Provide guidance and information to engage all students in learning activities.
• Attend training courses to support academy needs and professional development.
• Organise supervision of students in dining, playground and other areas.
