Job summary

Prospero Teaching are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Class Teacher to work in one of our inspirational SEND Schools in Cramlington on a full-time and long-term basis to start ASAP. You will plan and deliver lessons to small classes, differentiate for pupils with a wide range of SEND, and work with Teaching Assistants to create positive learning environments.

QTS and UK teaching experience are required, and an Enhanced DBS is preferred.

Qualifications

• QTS and Teaching experience within the UK
• Enhanced DBS – ideally Update Service
• Experience of short/medium/long-term planning
• Experience of assessing pupil progress
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
• Strong relationship-building skills with pupils and staff
• Positive and resilient attitude towards teaching and work
• Strong organisation and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons to small classes of pupils with SEND
• Differentiate lessons to meet individual learning needs
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to support pupil progress
