Job summary

Cicely Haughton School are seeking an inspiring and imaginative Teaching Assistant to support learning at the Resource Centre in Stafford and at Cicely Haughton School. The role involves outreach work and collaboration with the Manor Hall Academy Trust.

Salary £28,153 for 32.5 hours. Experience in a school is essential, with training provided for SEN needs. The post emphasises safeguarding, resilience, and a positive role model for pupils.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a school is essential; the successful candidate will be working alongside two experienced staff and have opportunities for support and supervision.
• Previous SEN experience is not necessary as relevant training will be provided.
• The resource centre has a maximum of 8 pupils with a teacher and two Teaching Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching to ensure that learning is fun, practical and creative.
• Based predominately at our Resource Centre in Stafford but also working at Cicely Haughton School and completing Outreach work.
• The resource centre operates with 8 sessions a week and supports pupils in their mainstream schools in the Stafford and Stone district.
