Job summary

Curnow School, part of The Special Partnership Trust, is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to join the Upper School on a fixed-term contract until 31/08/2027. Working hours are 8:50 am to 3:30 pm, with flexibility for fewer days as requested. You will support pupils with challenging behaviours and varied needs in a collaborative team.

The role requires empathy, patience and a professional attitude to provide high-quality support and help pupils achieve their educational goals.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviours and severe physical and/or learning difficulties is essential.
• A warm and empathetic personality is vital, with a desire to work professionally with others.

Responsibilities

• Build positive, supportive relationships that help pupils grow in confidence, independence and self-esteem.
• Assist with the delivery of an ambitious, specialist curriculum tailored to individual needs.
• Provide hands-on support for pupils with a wide range of learning, physical and behavioural needs.
