Oak Tree School, part of Maiden Erlegh Trust, is seeking an inspirational SEN Primary Teacher to join our specialist team. You will deliver high-quality teaching for primary pupils with SEND, planning personalised learning that reflects individual strengths and needs.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with experience of teaching primary-aged pupils.
• Strong understanding of SEND, particularly ASD and associated complex needs.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Committed to inclusive education and raising aspirations for every pupil.
• Works effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, reflective and committed to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning for primary-aged pupils with SEND.
• Plan engaging, personalised learning experiences reflecting individual strengths and needs.
• Support pupils to make excellent progress academically, socially and emotionally.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals.
• Implement communication strategies, including AAC, to ensure all pupils access learning.
• Monitor, assess and track progress, contributing to EHCP reviews and targets.
• Create a positive, safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies.
