TARA Professional Recruitment are working with a specialist SEN secondary school in Telford to recruit a Performing Arts Teacher for a long-term teaching opportunity.

This role requires planning and delivering engaging lessons, adapting to pupil needs and helping learners develop confidence, creativity and performance skills in a supportive environment.

The successful candidate will join a dedicated team focused on individual development and positive pupil outcomes within a specialist setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Dance, Music or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Performing Arts within a secondary school setting.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons across the curriculum.
• Adapt lessons to meet individual pupil needs while maintaining progression.
• Maintain effective classroom management and assess pupil progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support pupils' academic and personal development.
• Foster confidence, creativity and self-expression through creative learning.
