Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting for a dedicated Science Teacher to join a successful secondary school in Ashington, Northumberland. The role covers Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics, depending on your specialism.

We are seeking qualified teachers with strong classroom management and excellent subject knowledge. This is a long-term role with potential for a permanent contract and ongoing CPD through Protocol Education.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Degree in a Science-related subject.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent subject knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and teach high-quality lessons that inspire and motivate learners.
• Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
• Monitor, assess and track student progress effectively.
• Deliver practical and theoretical learning experiences.
• Promote curiosity, critical thinking and scientific enquiry.
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards across the department.
