Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a Science Teacher for a thriving secondary school in North Tyneside. The role covers KS3-4 with a focus on engaging, inclusive lessons and fostering student wellbeing.

You will teach Biology, Chemistry or Physics with strong subject knowledge and effective behaviour management. The position runs full-time from September, with a long-term contract potential and ongoing CPD support.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent required.
• Degree in Science or related subject.
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and teach lessons catering to students of all abilities.
• Create a positive, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Use assessment to monitor progress and raise attainment.
• Encourage curiosity and critical thinking in scientific discovery.
• Support students in developing academic knowledge and practical skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards across the department.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
