Job summary

Marchant Recruitment seeks an inspiring Teacher of Science for a high-performing secondary school in Buckingham. The role is full-time and permanent, starting January, with a strong focus on delivering engaging KS3–KS5 Science lessons in a supportive STEM environment.

You will lead practical investigations, uphold CLEAPSS safety standards, prepare GCSE/A-Level assessments, and contribute to pastoral duties as a Form Tutor within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE/SCITT credentials.
• Honours degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related discipline.
• Proven or strong potential to deliver GCSE/A-Level outcomes.
• Enhanced DBS Update Service or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach practical and theoretical Science across KS3–KS5.
• Plan and conduct safe laboratory experiments per CLEAPSS.
• Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level exams and assessments.
• Maintain lab spaces and equipment with department technicians.
• Assess and report student progress via tests and coursework.
• Fulfill pastoral duties as a Form Tutor.
