Job summary

Riseley Green School, part of Outcomes First Group, is seeking a Primary SEN Teacher to join our team in Riseley, Berkshire. You will deliver a creative, personalised Primary curriculum for pupils with additional needs and help them build confidence and independence.

We offer small class sizes, multidisciplinary support and a commitment to safeguarding. QTS or equivalent is required, with experience in primary teaching and a passion for SEN.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching or working with Primary-age pupils – Required.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the Primary curriculum – Required.
• Ability to plan, deliver and adapt Primary-level learning to meet different abilities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated Primary curriculum lessons tailored to individual pupil needs and abilities.
• Provide progression and support across the curriculum.
• Adapt teaching and curriculum content for pupils with a range of SEN, ensuring learning is accessible and meaningful.
• Create a calm, nurturing and inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe, valued and motivated to learn.
• Promote pupils’ confidence, independence and wellbeing through positive, relationship-based practice.
• Monitor and assess progress, using assessment effectively to identify next steps.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists, families and other professionals to provide consistent, holistic support.
• Contribute to the continued development of the school’s Primary curriculum, teaching approaches and learning environment.
