Job summary

Riseley Green School, part of Outcomes First Group, is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join our founding team of a brand-new specialist school near Reading. You will help shape culture, curriculum and future plans from day one, delivering personalised lessons in a nurturing environment.

With small class sizes, specialist resources and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll tailor learning to each pupil’s strengths and aspirations while safeguarding and promoting wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Demonstrates passion for helping children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
• Able to deliver creative, engaging and highly personalised learning experiences.
• Builds positive, trusting relationships and creates an environment where every pupil can succeed.
• Is resilient, adaptable and committed to overcoming barriers to learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, creative and personalised lessons that inspire pupils to achieve their full potential.
• Adapt teaching to meet a wide range of Special Educational Needs, ensuring every child can access learning.
• Create a calm, nurturing and inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe and motivated to learn.
• Promote pupils' confidence, independence, communication and emotional wellbeing.
• Collaborate with the Headteacher and founding team to shape the curriculum and culture of the new specialist school.
• Monitor and celebrate pupil progress, using assessment to inform future learning.
