Job summary

Riseley Green School, part of Outcomes First Group, is seeking a Primary SEN Teacher for a permanent role in Reading, Berkshire. The post offers 37.5 hours per week, term-time only, with a salary up to £45,000 depending on experience. Start September 2026.

You will deliver creative, personalised learning for autistic pupils aged 4-16, with small classes and a multidisciplinary team providing support. UK applicants only, sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification required.
• Experience teaching Primary-age pupils essential.
• Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Primary curriculum lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
• Provide challenge, progression and support across the curriculum.
• Adapt teaching for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs.
• Create a calm, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
• Promote pupil confidence, independence and wellbeing.
• Monitor and assess progress to identify next steps.
• Collaborate with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families for holistic support.
• Contribute to development of the school’s Primary curriculum and learning environment.
