Job summary

Lift Utterby, part of Lift Schools, is seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher to join our warm rural village primary school on a full-time or 0.8 (four days) basis. Ideally based in Year 1 or Year 2, though we are flexible for the right candidate, and a full UK driving licence is helpful in our rural setting.

We welcome applications from ECT or experienced teachers. You will deliver a rich, ambitious curriculum, foster academic curiosity and personal development, and work with a close-knit team

Qualifications

• QTS in Primary education
• Teaching experience in UK Primary School (last 2 years)
• Competence with phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc
• Flexible, proactive approach and genuine passion for primary education
• UK right to work; no sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Assess, track, and report on pupil progress; use assessment to adapt teaching.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and structured classroom environment with high expectations.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of all children in line with policies.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and the wider trust community to support pupil development.
