Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a Physics Teacher for a welcoming secondary school in Chesterfield. You will deliver quality Physics teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially KS5 experience is desirable.

ECTs are encouraged to apply, with safeguarding checks and DBS requirements in place. The role offers a permanent, full-time position within a nurturing science department, with opportunities for professional development and progression, enhanced resources, and a supportive leadership

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Degree in Physics or a closely related subject.
• Strong knowledge of the secondary Physics curriculum.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate students of all abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Previous teaching experience is desirable; ECTs encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable).
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
• Assess, monitor, and report student progress per school policies.
• Differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet all students' needs.
• Maintain high behaviour standards and effective classroom management.
• Support students in analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations.
• Contribute to curriculum development and science initiatives.
• Participate in STEM activities, science clubs, and enrichment opportunities.
