Job summary

Learning Curve Group is seeking a Part‑Time Maths Tutor for Post 16, based in Sheffield. You will deliver GCSE and Functional Skills maths sessions, assess learners, and plan tailored learning with SMART targets. You’ll work with a support team and contribute to safeguarding and quality standards.

The role requires a Level 3 maths teaching specialism and at least two years of teaching experience, plus a valid driving licence. 36 hours per week; 30k–34k salary; NHS-style benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Qualified Maths Tutor (at least a Level 3 specialist).
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience GCSE/Functional Skills.
• Teaching qualification at least Level 3.
• Valid Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging GCSE and Functional Skills maths sessions.
• Assess learners' starting points and plan tailored learning.
• Complete ILPs with SMART targets and regular reviews.
• Complete learner registers and performance documentation.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support retention and progression.
• Ensure assessments meet awarding body requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and moderation activities.
• Promote safeguarding and health and safety.
