Job summary

Marchant Recruitment, on behalf of a voluntary aided Catholic secondary school in Northampton, seeks an outstanding Maths Teacher to deliver high-quality mathematics across Key Stage 3 and 4, with opportunities for Key Stage 5 A-Level modules.

You will join a supportive Mathematics department, plan engaging lessons, assess progress, set targets, and support pupils through interventions; you may also contribute to pastoral duties as a Form Tutor.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS with a mathematics-related degree.
• Experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3–4 in a UK school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver GCSE-level Maths across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 A-Level modules.
• Contribute to A-Level Pure Maths, Mechanics, or Statistics delivery where applicable.
• Assess pupil progress, set targets, and run targeted interventions.
• Prepare students for Higher/Foundations GCSE tiers and UKMT challenges.
• Fulfil pastoral duties as a Form Tutor within the school.
