Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an inspiring Teacher of Mathematics for a scholarly secondary school in Leeds. The role covers KS3–KS5 with potential A-Level teaching depending on experience. You will deliver engaging, rigorous lessons and support students across GCSE and A-Level preparation.

The role is full-time and permanent, starting in January, with a salary on the MPS/UPS scale and a focus on digital learning tools and pastoral duties as Form Tutor.

Qualifications

• QTS or recognised UK teaching credential (PGCE / SCITT) required.
• Honors degree in Mathematics or related quantitative discipline.
• Proven ability to deliver GCSE/A-Level Mathematics outcomes.
• Enhanced DBS check on Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• Teach across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 with engaging, rigorous lessons.
• Plan lessons to build numerical fluency and problem-solving resilience.
• Guide GCSE and A-Level pupils through assessment, feedback and exam prep.
• Utilise digital learning platforms and software to enhance understanding.
• Assess, track and report student progress through mocks and classwork.
• Fulfill pastoral duties as Form Tutor supporting wellbeing and development.
