Job summary

Marchant Recruitment seeks a Maths Teacher to deliver high-quality mathematics across Key Stage 3 and 4 in Worcester. You will foster fluency, problem-solving, and prepare students for GCSE mathematics and functional numeracy.

The role may include optional Key Stage 5 A-Level Mathematics delivery for experienced candidates, within a well-resourced department and a supportive academy environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS with a degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related quantitative discipline.
• Experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 within a UK mainstream secondary school or academy setting.
• Strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, clear explanations of complex mathematical concepts, and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, structured mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Edexcel/AQA GCSE Mathematics specifications).
• Contribute to Key Stage 5 A-Level Mathematics delivery where applicable, supporting STEM and quantitative degree pathways.
• Conduct regular formative and summative assessments and implement targeted interventions to close attainment gaps.
