Job summary

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
• Maths qualification at Level 5 or above.
• Experience teaching Maths in Further Education or Secondary Education.
• Experience delivering GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons to students aged 16+.
• Teach GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Prepare learners for examinations and assessments.
• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental quality improvement.
• Maintain accurate student records and complete administrative tasks.
