Qualifications

• Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent is desirable/required depending on college requirements.
• Experience teaching Maths within FE, sixth form, adult education or a similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across FE programmes and levels.
• Teach GCSE Maths and/or Functional Skills Maths as required.
• Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
• Assess learners' work and provide constructive feedback to support progress.
• Monitor learner attendance, achievement and development.
• Provide additional support to learners who require help with Maths.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and assessment.
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams and other teaching staff.
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
