Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Limited is partnering with a leading FE provider to recruit a Math/Physics Lecturer for a Bedford-based, full-time, temporary role starting in September. The post focuses on delivering GCSE Math, Functional Skills Math and Physics while supporting learners’ progression and achievement.

The ideal candidate has FE/Sixth Form teaching experience, strong subject knowledge in Math and Physics, and a recognised teaching qualification.

Qualifications

Experience teaching Math and/or Physics within an FE or Sixth Form setting.
Strong subject knowledge across Math, Physics and related areas.
A recognised teaching qualification.
A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Math/Physics Education or a relevant subject.
Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills Math and relevant Physics programmes.
Excellent communication, classroom management and organisational skills.
Ability to engage and motivate learners.
A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve strong academic and career outcomes.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and effective Math and Physics lessons across the relevant curriculum.
Plan and deliver lessons, learning activities and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
Deliver GCSE Math, Functional Skills Math, Physics and other relevant programmes.
Support students with their academic development and progression.
Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Use engaging teaching methods to develop students' mathematical and scientific knowledge.
Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team.
Support students in developing the skills required for further study and employment.
