Job summary

Coventry Learns is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to support young people aged 16–24 with EHCPs within the Changing Futures Together provision. The role is full time, term-time only (37 hours/week for 40 weeks), based at Southfields Old School in Coventry and involves working with learners, tutors and employers to build employability and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs or SEND.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or higher.
• Commitment to inclusive education and supporting young people.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality learning and pastoral support to learners with EHCPs.
• Support learners to access and achieve a range of qualifications.
• Assist learners who may experience anxiety or barriers to education, helping them re-engage with learning.
• Support learners to develop employability skills, independence and confidence for the workplace.
• Collaborate with colleagues, employers and families to ensure appropriate support.
