Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated Key Stage 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Garstang, Lancashire from 2nd November 2026, following the October half-term break. This long-term role is to cover a staff absence and runs through to July 2027.

The post involves teaching a small KS2 class of 14 pupils (Year 3–6), planning engaging lessons, assessing progress and contributing to a positive learning environment where every child is valued and supported.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Full class teaching responsibilities for a KS2 class of 14 pupils (Year 3–6).
• Plan, deliver and assess differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
• Create a positive classroom environment that supports wellbeing and learning.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school with the staff team.
