Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Garstang. This full-time role is in a Year 1 classroom, starting as soon as possible, initially on a temporary agency basis with potential to move to a permanent contract.

You will support the Class Teacher with engaging lessons, provide 1:1 and small group help, assist with phonics, reading, writing and numeracy, and help foster a positive, inclusive learning environment while

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery, or childcare setting.
• Experience supporting Key Stage 1 pupils is desirable.
• A patient, proactive, and positive approach to supporting learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Teaching Personnel are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Garstang. This is a full-time position within a Year 1 classroom, starting as soon as possible.

The role is initially offered on a temporary agency basis, with the potential to move onto a permanent school contract for the right candidate following a successful placement.

• Supporting the Year 1 Class Teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons


• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils


• Assisting with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy activities


• Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting pupils' social and emotional development
