Job summary

Pool Hayes Primary School in Willenhall is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support teaching and learning across the school. You will teach whole classes and cover teachers during PPA and other development activities, working closely with staff to raise pupil achievement.

The role requires HLTA status or equivalent, safeguarding strong classroom management and excellent interpersonal skills. The position is term-time only with a pro rata salary and starts ASAP.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
• Experience supporting children in a school environment.
• Experience leading learning with individuals, groups and classes.

Responsibilities

• Organise and manage learning environment and resources.
• Use strategies with teacher to support pupils to achieve goals.
• Monitor and record progress as directed.
• Administer and assess/mark tests.
• Contribute to raising standards through teaching and learning activities with whole classes, groups or individuals.
