Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for an Outstanding SEN School in Lancaster/Kirkby Lonsdale. The role involves one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs, fostering an inclusive classroom, and working with teachers and parents to support holistic development.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SEN, strong behaviour management skills, and be comfortable using the National Curriculum to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of students.
• Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to the teaching staff.
• Be confident with behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
• Have good knowledge of the National Curriculum to support students with their learning.
