Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a skilled Vehicle Inspector Trainer to join our inspections team. You will onboard and train new inspectors, deliver induction programs, and use audit results to improve performance across the team.

You will also estimate repair costs for structurally damaged vehicles and advise on inspection standards for internal and external customers. Join a large, collaborative team reporting to the Head of Inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience working within structured procedures and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of vehicle components (cars and commercial vehicles).
• Good knowledge of vehicle repair methods and the ability to identify appropriate repair solutions.
• Strong communication, coaching and influencing skills.
• Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
• Flexible, proactive approach and ability to adapt to changing technology and processes.

Job description

Working within a large team of inspectors and reporting to the Head of Inspections you will need to fully understand the different standards and processes that apply to all types of inspection carried out at MVS. You will be required to onboard and provide training for all new inspectors, following an induction and training plan. There will also be the need to provide additional training to maintain the standard of all inspectors using the results of audits to establish where this is needed. You will also be required to estimate structurally and heavily damaged vehicles. This role will require you to discuss inspection standards and inspection quality queries with internal and external customers as and when required.
