Job summary

Monahans, part of the Sumer Group, is seeking a client-focused Insolvency Practitioner to support our Lead Insolvency Practitioner and help develop our growing Restructuring team in Swindon.

This role offers flexibility: part-time or tailored hours across the South West offices, with travel to client sites as needed. You will assess financial situations, administer insolvency processes, negotiate with creditors, and mentor junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified JIEB and licensed by a recognised Insolvency Licensing Body.
• At least five years’ experience in insolvency or financial restructuring.
• Strong financial and legal knowledge in insolvency matters.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proactive, organised, and detail conscious.
• Willingness to travel and work flexibly to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess financial situations and provide insolvency advice.
• Administer insolvency processes (CVAs, CVLs, administration, IVAs, bankruptcies).
• Negotiate with creditors and manage fund distributions.
• Ensure compliance with UK insolvency regulations.
• Investigate director conduct and identify wrongful trading.
• Mentor junior team members and support their development.
