Job summary

Monahans, part of the Sumer Group, is seeking a client-focused Insolvency Practitioner to support our Lead Insolvency Practitioner and help grow the Restructuring team in the South West. The role offers part-time flexibility and can be based at our South West offices (including Swindon, Bath, Trowbridge, Cirencester, Chippenham, Bristol, or Taunton).

You will assess financial situations, administer CVAs, CVLs, administrations, IVAs and bankruptcies, negotiate with creditors and ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• Qualified JIEB and licensed by a recognised Insolvency Licensing Body.
• At least five years’ experience in insolvency or financial restructuring.
• Strong financial and legal knowledge in insolvency matters.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proactive, organised, and detail conscious.
• Willingness to travel and work flexibly to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess financial situations and provide insolvency advice.
• Administer insolvency processes (CVAs, CVLs, administration, IVAs, bankruptcies).
• Negotiate with creditors and manage fund distributions.
• Ensure compliance with UK insolvency regulations.
• Investigate director conduct and identify wrongful trading.
• Mentor junior team members and support their development.
