Job summary

Monahans, Part of the Sumer Group, is seeking a dedicated Insolvency Practitioner to join our team in the South West of England. This role offers a genuine 4 day working week while supporting clients through complex insolvency situations. You will work closely with our Lead Insolvency Practitioner to mentor junior staff and ensure effective compliance with insolvency regulations.

The ideal candidate will be JIEB qualified with at least five years’ experience, bringing strong financial and legal knowledge along with excellent negotiation and communication skills. Join us and be part of an engaging and supportive team!

Qualifications

• Minimum five years’ experience in insolvency or financial restructuring.
• Strong financial and legal knowledge in insolvency matters.
• Willingness to travel and work flexibly to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess financial situations and provide insolvency advice.
• Administer insolvency processes (CVAs, CVLs, administration, IVAs, bankruptcies).
• Negotiate with creditors and manage fund distributions.
• Ensure compliance with UK insolvency regulations.
• Investigate director conduct and identify wrongful trading.
• Mentor junior team members and support their development.

Working closely with our Lead Insolvency Practitioner, you'll play a key role in supporting clients through challenging situations, developing our talented team, and helping shape the future of our insolvency offering.

Location: South West – you can be based from any of our South West offices in Swindon, Bath, Trowbridge, Cirencester, Chippenham, Bristol, or Taunton.
